The RMS Dung-Loving AIO Grow Bag is a fully sterilized, all-in-one cultivation bag designed for species that thrive in dung-based substrates. This bag combines hydrated grain spawn and a balanced dung-style bulk substrate into one unit—just inject your liquid culture or spores of choice and watch it grow.
Formulated for use with liquid culture inoculation, each bag contains sterilized grain and a fortified coir/vermiculite base, sealed in a Sakato grow bag with a 0.2 micron filter patch and injection port. Ideal for in-bag fruiting, this AIO format simplifies the process for growers cultivating dung-loving gourmet or research species.

Built for Dung-Loving Species
This substrate is optimized for mushrooms that require or perform better on high-nutrient, manure-style bases. It mimics the nutritional and structural profile of dung substrates without the mess, odor, or unpredictability of raw manure.
All-in-One Design
Each bag includes sterilized grain combined with a fully hydrated, fortified bulk substrate. This format allows for colonization and fruiting to happen in a single container, reducing handling and contamination risk. Just inject your liquid culture or spores of choice and watch it grow.
Self-Contained Grow Environment
Contents are sealed in a Sakato-brand polypropylene grow bag with a self-healing injection port and a 0.2 micron filter patch. This makes it easy to inoculate directly with liquid culture while maintaining proper, filtered gas exchange during incubation and fruiting.
Anyone can easily grow mushrooms using our simple All-in-One Mushroom Grow Bag - no experience required!
What you'll need:
All-in-One Mushroom Grow Bag
Alcohol wipe, or isopropyl alcohol and a cotton ball
Syringe with liquid culture or spores*
(optional) Latex gloves, isopropyl alcohol and spray bottle
Instructions:
Prepare space:
It's best to work in a pet-free room without any fans moving the air around - we want things as clean as possible to minimize the chance of contamination
Wipe down your work surface with alcohol, using a paper towel and spray bottle
Inoculate:
Sterilize the injection needle on your syringe with a lighter and allow to cool briefly
Wipe injection port with alcohol wipe or cotton ball dipped in alcohol
Inject bag with spores from a spore syringe or liquid culture (minimum of 1cc/pound of media), then cover with Scotch tape
Store the bag off the ground in a place with dim lighting - absolutely no direct sunlight - at 70-78F (warmer is better)
When the bag is at least 20% colonized (white in color) massage, shake and/or knead the bag to break up the media and more evenly distribute the mycelium
Prepare for fruiting:
When the bag is fully colonized, once again clean your work surface with alcohol
Spray or wipe down the bag with alcohol, avoiding the filter patch
Wipe scissors with alcohol and cut a small (around 3") slit just beneath filter patch to induce fruiting
Grab both sides of the bag with your hands and move them in and out to exchange the air inside
Fold the top of the bag a couple of times, seal it with 1-2 paper clips and place it in a dark or dimly lit place, preferably at 70-75F
Harvest!
When the mushrooms are ready for harvest, open the bag and gently twist the mushrooms to remove them from the media
If you want to get a second flush (second round) of mushrooms
Rehydrate the bag by very slowly pouring around 90ml of distilled water into the bag
Seal the bag using paper clips and wait until the next flush of mushrooms are ready for harvest
In many cases you can repeat this process again for a total of three flushes
Dispose of the grow bag and enjoy the fruits of your labor!
