This position involves assisting walk-in and internet customers - helping them choose the right products, pulling orders, ringing up sales and assisting our customer service and shipping teams when necessary. Our goal is to provide shoppers with a positive experience so that first time customers become repeat customers.
This is a critical position for our company, since this person will be responsible for communicating with all types of customers and handling their needs. There will be communication with customers every day via phone and email as well as in person, therefore an excellent phone manner and superior writing skills are required.
Maintain store appearance by organizing products, shelves and displays, and replenishing stock
Use POS system to create sales orders, accept returns and exchanges, and check out customers
Assist with receiving and inventory counts
Communicate and work with various departments as needed
Work fast and efficiently, with a high attention to detail
Research and resolve customer issues
Help to create a positive office culture
Maintain composure during high volume periods, and work well under pressure
This person must be dependable daily and have reliable transportation. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 7:00pm. Overtime is not normally required but may be necessary at times, especially during the current pandemic.
Please note that all employees go through a 90-day trial period during which they are trained in the various aspects of their position.
Experience with growing indoors - mandatory
Retail sales or customer service experience
Ability to type by touch
Ability to use a computer and POS system
Ability to prioritize tasks and be flexible
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods when necessary
