Improved - seams now feature ultrasonic sealing (no glue) that are resistant to tearing, and each Coco Cube weighs exactly the same for improved uniformity!

From the company that brought you the best quality coco coir products to date - Char Coir and Cloud Coir - comes the next great coco-based product... The Coco Cube!

It's like having a Hugo rockwool block that's made out of the best coco available. Wait a minute, that's exactly what it is! You get the best of both worlds. All the benefits of coco, with all the convenience of a block. Except you don't have to presoak for 30 minutes in 5.5 pH solution and then follow up with a 1-2 gallon top-feed drench (according to the Grodan instructions). All you need to do is irrigate these blocks with the nutrient solution of your choice until you get a little runoff and bam - you're ready to plant. And if you're using any beneficial microbes or fungi, they will love the Coco Cube much more than rockwool. Give 'em a try, you'll never go back!

Tips:

For a simple drip system without the use of FloraFlex Caps & FloraClips you can use the 2.25" FloraFlex Matrix Circulator without the other Maxtrix system components (Matrix unit and Pad). The Circulator fits right inside the hole in the Coco Cube outer material (you may need to stretch the material a tad with your fingers or simply position the Circulator underneath the material) and will dispense nutrient solution evenly and right where you need it!

Please watch these short videos to learn how to properly hydrate the Coco Cube prior to use. Failure to hydrate properly can result in the outer sleeve tearing during expansion:

Make sure the hole in the outer sleeve lines up with the hole in the compressed block before hydrating.

There are several ways to initially hydrate the cube but it's best to hydrate the block from both the bottom and the top. We recommend the following method. For larger grows, place cubes in a flood & drain table. Pull up slightly on the outer sleeve to create a "tent" in the material. Irrigate briefly with a watering wand in order to anchor the cubes down so they don't float during the next step. Then, flood the table to complete the hydration process. Cubes are now ready for planting.

For smaller grows some people will simply dunk the cubes in solution for the initial hydration.

Some growers prefer to use a 6" FloraCap, others will simply use one or two drippers per cube. If you use a FloraCap, either make slits on the top of the outer sleeve with a razor blade, or cut out a square so that the nutrient solution is able to make direct contact with the coco medium during an irrigation cycle (the outer sleeve material is hydrophobic and will repel water).
