High Performance Horticultural Lighting at a great price by Relighting
Gavita makes the perfect horticultural optical system. They engineered the reflector optics and built them right into the lamp. Then they perfectly aligned the arc-tube to maximize lumen output at an astounding 95% efficiency. It's a well-known fact that the closer the arc-tube is to the reflector, the more light will be available to the plants, and you can't get any closer than the Gavita! And, because the reflector is on the inside of the glass, there is no need for assembly, and the reflective material never needs cleaning, so you're assured 100% reflection, 100% of the time. And if you're still not convinced, it has the best engineered lighting footprint in the greenhouse lighting industry, with a spectrum specifically designed for growing plants. What more could you ask for?
NOTE: Relighting is the company that developed and manufactures all Gavita bulbs (including ours) and so our Gavita bulbs ship in a box that is labeled Reflux by Relighing, not Gavita. Relighting licenses their technology to Rambridge Wholesale, who brands their version of the bulb under the "Gavita" name. Rambridge purchases the arc tube (the inner tube that actually produces the light) from Relighting and has them shipped to Europe where the final assembly takes place. We have found that the bulbs assembled in Europe are inferior in quality to the bulbs that are manufactured directly by Relighting. Some of the common complaints are that the glass they use isn't as clear and that the mogul base breaks and just spins in the socket assembly. Please be assured that BGH is not trying to sell its customers a cheap knock off. On the contrary, we are trying to go the extra mile to provide our customers with a superior product.

Construction:
The lamp construction consists of an axial asymmetrical glass shell. The upper part of the inner surface of the lamp has a reflective aluminum coating. The plane of the edge of the surface is parallel to the axis of the arc tube and with this construction the reflected energy will not impinge on the arc tube; hence the life of the arc tube is longer than a normal high pressure discharge lamp. This construction also enables many forms of light distribution to be realized in the design of the lamp profile.
Advantages of Reflux Lamp Installations for Greenhouse Lighting
- Highest reflector efficiency of 95% as compare to standard system
- Higher light output of up to 10% as compared to standard systems. (Practical measurement after 3,000-4,000 hours running time; 16% higher light output compared to identical installations with standard systems)
- Reduced maintenance, operating and installation costs
- Reflux lamps reduce overall size, weight and shadowing
General Information:
To grow strong and healthy, plants need light. But not just any light. They thrive on specific parts of the light spectrum. At different times in the growing cycle, plants require different types of light radiation. Immature plants have different needs than those about to flower or mature. To maximize the potential of a plant and ensure that it grows strong and healthy, you need to deliver just the right kind of light radiation it needs - when it needs it.
And that's where Relighting Horticultural Lamps can help.
Relighting is a radically new, scientifically-developed dual lamp growing system, utilizing the very latest advances in botanic research as well as metal halide and high pressure lamp technology. For stronger, healthier, bigger plants, there's simply no substitute for using the Relighting dual lighting system.
Using new Relighting lamps which are fully compatible with your existing ballasts and fixtures, you can deliver exactly the right light frequency to your plants at the crucial stages in their development. And it's so simple to do.
You start off by using Relighting MH Cool Deluxe Lamps on young plants to maximize vegetative growth. Then, at the appropriate time in the growing cycle, you simply switch to a Relighting HPS Enhanced Lamp. This insures that your plants are always receiving the optimum light type throughout their life.
About Relighting:
From ISO 9001/2000 certified divisions to state of the art manufacturing processes, Relighting consistently delivers robust products with quality in mind. Their tight process controls help to assure excellent field reliability.
Relighting has its own independent light measurement laboratory. This means that measurements can be carried out on the performance of their lamps with the highest accuracy.
