The Green Pad JR increases rooting and node growth!
What level CO2 ppm can I expect using the Green Pad?
Our tests in a room 10' x 10' x 10' (1000 cubic feet) with 3 Green Pads at 60% humidity and minimal air exchange produced 1000+ ppm. The amount of fresh air exchange plays a major role in the containment of the CO2 and the levels maintained in the room. To maximize performance misting the pads before closing the room will increase concentrations.
How does the Green Pad work?
It works by producing CO2 when activated by humidity or moisture. The green pad is made with a combination of carbons and acid. These react to moisture by dispersing a measured amount of CO2 over a period of about one week.
Why do my plants need CO2 during P.M. hours?
Consistent CO2 exposure reduces the ability for mold and fungus to grow. Because CO2 is the ONLY anti-microbial gas in the atmosphere, bacteria, mold, and algae cannot thrive in a consistent carbon dioxide rich environment. This creates clearer water in reservoirs and prevents mold on rockwool.
How many Green Pads do I need for my room?
The Green Pad works best in small to mid size hobby gardens
Use at least 1 pad per 400-500 cubic feet of space
Add more Green Pads to increase CO2 Levels for larger rooms
How much humidity does it take to activate the Green Pad?
It takes about 35+ % Humidity to activate and produce a measured release of CO2
Higher humdity or frequent light water misting increases activation.
Can the Green Pad produce too much CO2? NO!
The Green Pad produces about 6000cc of CO2 and last about a week. We ask that you leave the oldest pads in the room for about two weeks to capture the residual effects of the pads.
What about the Green Pad JR? Do my cuttings need CO2? YES!
This pad has consistent levels of 1000 to 1500 ppm in domes. It's shown to increase root growth by 2-3 days. It also works like aerial fertilizer, helping to decrease the algae on cubes.
How to Use:
Simply hang the Green Pad high in the room so the CO2 can fall towards the plants and water. Small rooms (4'x4'x8') may only need one Green Pad per week to maintain 1000ppm. Larger rooms 12'x15'x8' may use 2-4+ Green Pads per week.
Keep the Green Pads exposed to humidity or moisture to maximize CO2 release. Misting the pad before closing the room increases CO2 concentration.
