Since Hanna Instruments first introduced DiST^® (Dissolved Solids Tester) in 1986, the measurement of Conductivity and Total Dissolved Solids has never been easier. The DiST^®'s ease-of-use in combination with its affordability has made it the standard in EC and TDS measurement.

The new waterproof (they even float!) DiST^® 5 testers have a dual-level LCD that displays EC or TDS and °C or °F. At startup, DiST^{® 5}performs a self check then displays the remaining battery level to assure proper working condition. These testers also feature a stability indicator and hold feature to prompt the user when to take the reading & freeze the display for easy and accurate recording. These new EC / TDS / Temperature meters have a stainless steel temperature probe for faster and more precise temperature measurement. Calibration and temperature compensation is automatic These advanced EC / TDS / °C / °F meters feature graphite electrodes to provide the greatest possible accuracy as they cannot be contaminated by salt deposits in the solution and when the electrode finally is exhausted simply insert a new electrode cartridge!

DiST^{® 5} is supplied complete with EC/TDS Probe (HI 73311), 4 x 1.5V batteries and electrode replacement tool (HI 73128).

Uses 1413mS/cm or 1500ppm calibration solution.

NOTE: BGH highly recommends the use of Electrode Cleaning with any TDS or EC meter. Customers have sent their defective meters back only to have them returned because there was nothing wrong with them - all they needed was a good cleaning.
