The Gro-Chek Combo meters measure both pH and TDS at the same time. They are
supplied with professional probes specially designed for the grower. To protect
your investment, the user selectable setpoints and the visual alarm signals
provide an additional guarantee against abnormal status. The probes are submerged
so that they have a real-time readout, without preparation or having to wait.

HI 981404 is ideal for agricultural, horticultural and hydroponics applications
where pH and TDS levels need to be continuously monitored for optimal plant
growth. HI 981404 continuously monitors and displays the pH and the TDS values
of a solution on an easy to read set of dual LCD's. In order to help meet the
specific nutritive requirements of different types of crops, the alarm setpoints
are operator selectable in both the pH and TDS ranges. When the pH and/or TDS
value of the solution is outside the preset range, the corresponding red LED
alarm comes on. This feature makes it easy to optimize the effectiveness of
the nutrient solutions used for plants and flowers. The meter is supplied with
an advanced non-clogging Teflon® junction pH electrode and a rugged TDS
probe. Each are specifically designed for growing applications and last for
long periods of time even when used in extremely aggressive fertilizer solutions.
HI 981404 can be calibrated at one or two points in the pH range (pH 4 and 7)
and at one point in the TDS range. The instrument is powered by a 12VDC transformer,
and comes equipped with a grounding bar which ensures longer electrode life
and more accurate pH measurements. Compact and easy to install and use, is the
ideal solution to your continuous monitoring needs.
The HI 981404 Gro'Check Combo is supplied with HI 1286 pH electrode, HI 7634
TDS probe, HI 1283 grounding bar, calibration solutions, screwdriver for calibration,
12VDC adapter and instructions.
Uses 1500ppm calibration solution.

NOTE: BGH highly recommends the use of Electrode
Cleaning and Electrode Storage Solution with any meter. Customers have sent
their defective meters back only to have them returned because there was nothing
wrong with them - all they needed was a good cleaning. By using Electrode Storage
Solution you will lengthen the life of the electrode (which is warranteed for
only six months) and minimize the frequency in which you will have to clean
it.
